Today:
1) We reviewed aspects of plot, character, and theme from the beginning of the year.
2) We discussed how those things can be used, specifically as you approach writing your introduction piece - knowing the language is important and will help you communicate your intentions and ideas for choosing genres.
3) You peer-conferenced.
4) You worked independently.
5) We had 4 people come up and model their genres, explain their intentions, and explain how their work showed the different meanings from their books. Creative! Informative! Impressive specific connections to your books... certainly original :) Bravo!
