35TH CLASS - GROUP 03 - SHORT STORY LES VI
Today:
1) We reviewed the stages of the plot diagram.
2) We reviewed the main parts of the story of the Lion King.
3) We discussed the central conflict of the Lion King.
4) In pairs, you decided where each part went on the plot diagram.
5) Individually, you continued writing your own short story trying to mesh out up to the "key incident" of your own character-driven plot.

1) Individually, you wrote the first draft of the exposition phase of the short story.
2) You peer-reviewed drafts checking for description of characters, time, and place.
3) You updated your draft.
4) You chose 2-3 sentences of your exposition and read it. It was inspiring to hear the different approaches and styles that are surfacing in your writing.

26TH CLASS - GROUP 01 - CAREER POSTERS I
Today:
1) Any remaining DEAR journals were collected.
2) You began the follow-up project from Take Our Teens To Work Day: creating an information poster targeted at cycle 1 students. You will have the chance to teach your profession that you job shadowed to cycle 1 students during an upcoming Career Fair.
If you missed class: See or e-mail me for the outline because...
Next class Monday, November 9 (Day 6): Your first draft is due at the beginning of class (including all writing you plan on writing on your good copy). Be prepared to peer-edit another person's poster.

2) You got into groups of 4-5 and created your own 200 word story including those things. One person in your group wrote, and everyone spoke. Each person added a word at a time.
